Ride area 1 (theory course)
The certificate of competency for sailing area 1 entitles the holder to independently operate yachts up to 10 metres in length and a distance from the coast of 3 nautical miles.
The certificate of competency for sailing area 1 entitles the holder to independently operate yachts up to 10 metres in length and a distance from the coast of 3 nautical miles.
Wadden Sea or Day Trip: The certificate of competency enables sailing near the coast and on protected waters. The tidal flat or day trip covers an area of three nautical miles measured from the coast (mainland or islands).
Theoretical examination: The theoretical examination consists of a written multiple-choice test and a map exercise. For the multiple choice test, a list of questions is presented in advance, the chart work is covered in the course.

2 boat driving licences - a super price

According to § 15 Abs. 11 Seeschifffahrtsgesetz (BGBl. 46/2012) viadonau is responsible for issuing international certificates for the driving of motor yachts and/or sailing yachts up to 24 m in length and a gross tonnage (GT) of less than 300. The international certificates are based on the recommendations of the UNECE (International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft, short: IC).
